Our roots: a machine that sorted tea stalks
In the 1990s, Taiwanese tea farmers still picked stalks out of their tea by hand — about 10 to 12 kg per person per day. The previous generation of our family built the Tianyou (天佑牌) tea sorting machine in Wufeng, Taichung. It handled more than 60 kg an hour and passed the performance test of the Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute. The Tea Research and Extension Station later used Shengquan's patented stalk-sorting machine as the basis for a new sorter for Wenshan Pouchong tea.
Since then we have kept doing the same thing: handing the most labor-intensive steps over to machines.
What we do today
We help food, tea and coffee producers choose, install and run automatic packaging machines — from rotary premade pouch packing machines to tea bag, drip coffee, powder and liquid packing machines. Whichever machine you choose, we test and tune it before it reaches you, train your operators, and stay with you after delivery.
Our group also offers contract packaging and ingredient development, certified to HACCP and ISO 22000 (hg-pak.com).
